16 yr old School Belle found abducted, stripped, burnt to death

In the state of Johor Bahru, Malaysia, a school belle Lai Ying Xin was brutally murdered by a group of youths at Kulai Jaya last Friday. It was initially a case of kidnap when the group demanded the family of the victim for an amount of RM$60,000. However, the family could only raise RM$33,000.

The money was then paid to the kidnappers last Monday. But the torched body of Lai Ying Xin was found, autopsy report revealed that the victim was strangled prior she was set ablazed. The report also concludes that there had not been signs of rape.

Police had brought back 7 suspects who are known to the family of victim and there are currently remanded for further investigation. Two-third of the ransom amount paid by the family was subsequently recovered at Perodua Kembara.
