ANP threatens to quit the federal cabinet

Islamabad: Awami National Party (ANP) threatened to quit the federal cabinet if Pakistan people’s part (PPP) could not distribute the ministries among the coalition partners, as PML (N) has already decided to sit on opposition benches in the parliament.

ANP central spokesman Zahid Khan told that ANP should get its due stake in the government, as the democratic process has been completed, after the presidential elections and Pakistan is back on the democratic track after the dictatorship, after a long time.

Later on, federal minister for local government, Ghulam Ahmed Bilour denied any differences with PPP and said that their affiliation with the coalition government is above such petty issues.

Talking to a private news channel, Zahid Khan added that PPP has not contacted ANP so far regarding distribution of the ministries vacated by the PML-N.
