All Souls Day

Traditionally, the Philippines like any other Christian countries celebrate All Souls Day. Cemeteries around the country are painted white to show their everlasting care to their departed loved ones. Flowers, candles and prayers are the usual offerings to the burial place, a belief that many considers as appropriate to remember the dead.

In this time of the year flowers and candles are having brisk sales. Stalls bedecked with beautiful flowers are all over the place. The flowers being sold are properly arranged to make it attractive to buyers. For the living, buying flowers and candles for their dead loved ones are part of the memories that binds them together all through time.
