Asia to host World Cup 2008



India will stage the Cricket World Cup final for the second time in 2011. They were confirmed as co-hosts of the event with Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will stage semi-finals in 2011, with the opening ceremony taking place in Bangladesh. India will stage 22 matches, Pakistan 16, Sri Lanka nine and Bangladesh six.Among the potential venues for the final would be Eden Gardens in Calcutta, which has a capacity of 90,000, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai (Bombay), the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, or the Feroz Shaha Kotla in Delhi.

CRICKET HAS BEEN THE ONLY ASPECT WHICH BINDS THE KNOT OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN INDIA-PAKISTAN.....HENCE WE CAN EXPECT THAT WORLD CUP 2011 WILL BRING ABOUT SUBCONTINENTAL PEACE AND HARMONY.....BUT THE PASSION FOR CRICKET WILL BE AT THE PARAMOUNT....."HOSPITALITY AND BROTHER HOOD" IS COMMON IN THE SUB-CONTINENT AND WILL SURE BE WELL PORTRAYED TO OTHER NATIONS.....A NEW STATE-OF-ART STADIUM IN NEW DELHI WILL HOST THE FINALS OF THE EVENT.....THE STADIUM IS BEING CURRENTLY BUILT AT A HUMONGOUS COST OF Rs.5 BILLION...AND SHALL HAVE WORLD CLASS FACILITIES LIKE THE OVAL/MCG/LORDS.....THE SEMIS WILL BE HELD IN PAKISTAN AT THE GADAFI STADIUM FAMOUS FOR ITS MEHMAN-NAWAZI AND AT COLOMBO'S PREMADASA STADIUM.....SO PLZ JOIN HANDS SO THAT THIS EVENT IS A GRAND SUCCESS AND THE HOSPITALITY OF THIS SUBCONTINENT IS WELL DEPICTED......HAIL CRICKET...!!!!
