Colombia Call-Up

Jorge Luis Pinto called up 18 players for the Cafeteros' upcoming friendly against Venezuela on April 30th.  The squad is mostly made up of domestic players as well as sprinkling of foreigners.
The most controversial call-up was that of Radamel Falcao García who will miss River Plate's first leg of the Copa Libertadores against San Lorenzo at the Nuevo Gasómetro next week.  Oh, there is also another game that they will be playing next weekend at La Bombonera against Boca Juniors. He also did not call up Boca Juniors midfielder Fabián Vargas as well.  The problem with this call up was that he refused to call up players from both Cúcuta Deportivo and Nacional who will be playing midweek as well.
He is presently preparing his side for two crucial matches against Ecuador and Peru on the road later on this summer as World Cup Qualifiers resume in South America.
