Colombia Versus Israel On Terrorism

July 04, 2008
In the same week, Ingrid Betancourt and fourteen other hostages were freed by Colombia's armed forces from the drug trafficking Marxist guerrillas of the FARC while Israel traded a Lebanese killer of an entire family for two dead Israeli soldiers.
Not exactly a smart deal on Olmert's part, is it?
What will Israel's apologists and the fantasists of counter-terrorism say about this? Will they call it appeasing terrorism? Based on past experience, probably not.
