Does The New York State Fair Commemorate Nazi Death Camp Poison?

I was casually reading the Long Island, New York daily Newsday's travel section report on the 162 annual New York State Fair when I was taken aback to find that one of fairground rides is the Zyklon rollercoaster.  See Marshall S. Berdan's "The 162nd Great New York State Fair, in Syracuse" http://www.newsday.com/travel/destinations/northeast/ny-trkids5791651aug10,0,7381684.story

Why did this take me aback? Zyklon B was the poison used in the National Socialist gas chambers of the death camps.  I presume the coincidence is unintentional on the part of the concessionaires and that the fair management is equally ignorant. I presume they meant to evoke a cyclone like the famous ride at Coney Island.  There might well be rides with that name today.

The New York State Fair is an arm of the government of the State of New York. www.nysfair.org.  Why is the government in the business of fairs?

I hope that Governor Paterson and other elected officials in New York learn that people do not approve of such an insult to the memory of the murder victims of the Third Reich's Holocaust.  If they don't change the name, please boycott the ride.

Are you going to boycott honey from Sri-Lankan apiaries, because they are using Cylon Bees? While I agree that it does not lead to a rational allocation of resources to spend public funds on private goods (like roller coasters), this request is stupid. If your boycott successful, more taxpayer money will simply be spent on changing the name. What's next? Boycotting Mr. Phuk Yoo's Korean restaurant for blasphemy? Americans like to spell stuff differently, because unusual spellings/words help making the product recognizable, not to mention not getting sued for trademark infringement. Zyklon happens to be the German spelling (unlike in English a voiceless 'S' is a 'Z') of the word 'Cyclone'. German Companies like Degussa were much less imaginative when it came to naming stuff - they just added a letter. On a side note: 'Volkswagen' is literally "People's Cart". If you think tropical weather warnings in German 'Commemorating Nazi Death Camp Poison', you should have your head examined.
