Emilio Navaira Injured in Another Car Accident
Just six months after suffering serious injuries in a tour bus crash, Tejano singer Emilio Navaira was hospitalized after another car accident on Wednesday.
Emilio Navaira and his wife Maria are in stable condition at University Hospital in Dallas after they crashed their vehicle into a truck. Maria Navaira was behind the wheel at the time of the accident sources say.
Wednesday's crash comes only six months after Emilio Navaira and members of his band were seriously injured when their tour bus was wrecked in a highway accident. Navaira suffered a brain aneurysm and serious lung damage in that accident. He was driving the tour bus at the time of the accident with a blood-alcohol level of 0.19, more than twice the legal limit. Some members of his band have filed lawsuits against him for damages suffered in the bus accident.
Emilio Navaira is a high successful musician of Tejano music. In 2003, he won a Grammy award for best Tejano album with "Acuerdate."
