George Street playhouse presents The Toxic Avenger

The George Street Playhouse will stage the world premiere of the musical The Toxic Avenger. The Toxic Avenger is based on the cult classic film by Lloyd Kaufman. The Toxic Avenger follows Melvin Ferd, the local health club mop boy who winds up in a vat of radioactive sludge.

The new rock musical comedy is written by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan keyboardist and founding member of Bon Jovi. John Rando , who won the Tony Award for the Broadway smash Urinetown, will direct The Toxic Avenger. The show will begin on September 30 and running through November 2, 2008

According to George street playhouse's director David Saint, they are very excited about the show.
