HIV antivirus began mass production

One good news for ODHA victims in Indonesia Indonesia began its first massive production on antiretrovirus for HIV/AIDS infection people. One small production Antiretrovirus unit at Kimia Farma medicine manufacturer has been started production. However government is still needed trademark for product invention and producing. But during Doha convention few months ago allow government to force their own trademark to produce in enormous amount of antiretrovirus medicine in the future if the statistic amount of victims increasing in fast.

The unit will produce efavirens, neviraphine, lamivudin, zidovudin, duviral, triviral staviral, tenovovir, ritonavir and didanosin. In 1 year production of medicine are targeted to 168 capsules per year. Meanwhile the victim in treatment is reaching about 350 people. After the production reach, the antiretrovirus will spread to another 25 hospitals in Indonesia to support treatment for victim who has infected with HIV. This year budget allocation is reaching Rp. 40 billion.
