Hillary Claims Needed Victory In New Hampshire

The New Hampshire victory claimed by Hillary Clinton would resurrect her bid for the White House. On the Republican side, Senator John McCain beat his rivals for the win at the Republican primary. This victory should help Hillary as she came in third place at the Iowa caucuses.

This should prove to be a long battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama aims to be the first black president while Hillary aims to be the first woman president.

According to the polls, while female voters seemed to have deserted Hillary last week in Iowa, they had helped her solidify her victory in New Hampshire.

Hillary has won amongst the registered Democrats. However, Obama has a lead over Hillary amongst the independent voters. But, Obama suffered from a fallout in the turnout with the younger voters compared to that in Iowa.
