Internet: Firefox - "The Network link was interrupted"

Well, just recently, I have came across this difficulty in connecting into some of the websites. No matter how many times I tried accessing a particular website, this message will appear: "The Network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Try again".

Then, I figured that it could be the website server problem, although I have not seen this error message before. So I tried it on some of my the other bookmarked sites and the same error message appears.

This happened right after I had my FireFox updates installed. So I switched to IE7 and the same problem occured, but the error message was slightly different. But I suspect both browsers are affected by the same common problem which I do not know, Reboot or restart the system proofed to be furtile as the problem persisted.

Like miracle, both Firefox 3.01 and IE 7 are working as usual once again. I find it really odd and could not find a solution to this once off problem. Well, so far a once off problem for me.

When I went searching the web for answers, I found that I am actually not alone. There are many discussions going on since some time back all over the Internet. The inherent problem could be due to some problem with winsock when both IE 7 and Firefox 3.01 are installed on the same machine. But how do they explain that in my case, things just gone back to normal again.

I have been checking out Mozilla Support site, but there are still no answers to this. I will surely do a comprehensive report once this problem is addressed and resolved.
