The market sentiment around the world, although in a phase of recovering after enormous efforts by governments of major economies to revive the financial markets, still seems rather gloomy and stuttering. Another alternative apart from equities or stocks would be Foreign Exchange.
Typically, Forex is about investing in currencies around the world. The idea is basically as simple as buying low and selling high as currency pairs. One currency against another in terms of price. The most popular and trader pair of currencies in my personal view would be USD-JPY.
Forex is actually a massive market that is worth more than 3 trillion of dollars. The good thing is that having a Forex account is much easier and with less hassle as compared to stock broking account. As Internet as eliminated global inaccessibilities, you can trade Forex even in the comfort of your own home. The thing I like about Forex is that you do not need to pay broking and commission to trade.
However, there is a risk involved in Forex as the movement can be rather high. Athough there is no broking fees involved, there is a roll over interest if you keep your positions overnight. The most ideal is to clear your position after locking in your profit before it is rolled over.
In most online Forex Trading Platforms, some requires you deposit a considerably large amount of money. For those who are have less to invest, you do not have to prepare to part with a big amount with Mini Forex. It is generally a Forex trading contract created with a very small amount of money as low as US12.50.
I have been trading Forex for a fair bit now and after using a few of such trading platforms, I am more inclined to use Easy-Forex, an Austrialia based company. First of all this company is reputable and it is fully regulated with offices around the world. Secondly, I am also rather impressed with the personalized service rendered to me.
Please especially note that Forex is really risky and you should never risk more than you are prepared to lose.
The above are sharing of personal experiences and never at all an inducement to trade or invest.
