Kalash Festival in Hindukush, Chitral

Chitral: The ancient tribes of Hindukush, Kalash, living in the 3 remote valleys of Chitral, are going to celebrate the colorful festival of “ Ochal” on the 22^nd of August.

It is a day festival and marked with cheese and bread, which is brought from the high pastures, by the shepherds, at the holy places and later on, they gather at the dancing places and dance.

Every year, thousands of tourists come to Chitral to visit Kalash valleys, trekking, climbing and see the enigmatic dance of these tribes.
