Mastodon

Lately I'm listening to music on Pitchfork.com. I was curious about the band Mastodon -- I like the name -- so I clicked on one of their recent songs ("Black Tongue"). I had to pull off my headphones! The music was both loud and brutal. One forgets how precisely bands are named nowadays. This one sounded just like a mother-crushing woolly mammoth.
