Superstar Michael Jackson will be appearing in court later today to testify against the charge that he owes Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad al Khalifa.
The second son of the king of Bahrain named Sheikh Abdullah has said that Jackson went back on a contract to record a new album and write an autobiography.
However, Jackson insists that Abdullah’s agreement was not valid and is based on a mistake.
He pleaded that he was given the payments as gifts and there was no project finalised.
Jackson was a guest to the royal family in Bahrain after the child abuse allegations in 2005.

The son of an Arab monarch took the King of Pop to court Monday, charging that Michael Jackson took $7 million as an advance on an album and an autobiography that he never produced. The King of Pop has fallen again – could a payday loan help? Michael Jackson has been in an increasing amount of legal and financial trouble for years. Just recently, the famous pop artist settled a lawsuit with a member of the Bahraini royal family, who had contracted a book and album deal with Jackson in exchange for living expenses during his time spent in Bahrain. It was just announced that an auction will be held, selling personal items of Jackson’s in April of 2009. Two of the items that will be up for sale will be the gates of Neverland Ranch, and his most recognized white glove that he wore in the music video of his song “Billy Jean.” Michael Jackson, also known as “Wacko Jacko,” has been in financial trouble since 2005, after his second trial for child molestation and the near foreclosure of the Neverland Ranch. From that time on the artist of the most bestselling album of all time has been a high profile recluse in the world. A spokesperson for the auction operations has declared that this is not a forced sale. However, those who believe Jackson has been living beyond his means for years would plainly disagree.
