Morgan Rittgers, 16, Dies in Jacksonville Car Crash

August 21, 2008 16 year-old Morgan Lane Rittgers died from injuries she sustained in a car accident on Lem Turner Road in Jacksonville, Florida last night.
Florida Highway Patrol say that Morgan Rittgers was driving north on Lem Turner Road at 7:45 p.m. when she lost control of her car. Trying to get the vehicle under control, she swerved into oncoming traffic and was hit by another vehicle. The driver of that car, Patricia McCumbers Busbee, 61, is alive but in serious condition in Shands Jacksonville Hospital.
Weather from Tropical Storm Faye might have played an issue in the accident. Police believe both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
Morgan Rittgers was the senior class president and a member of the soccer team at Paxon High School.

I cant believe you are really gone, and for good. It's not fair that you of all people had to be the one to lose your life. We never understand why anyone is dealt the hand of tragedy; and certainly do not understand why a wonderful family and a very special girl as Morgan Rittgers wouid be called home to the Heavenly Father at such a young age.
