President Dr. Yadav Consulted Alternative Parties on Government Formation
Alternative political parties among those representing in the Constituent Assembly have advised the first President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to call on the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) to form a fresh government. Leaders of CPN (United), Nepa Rastriya Party, Dalit Janjati Party, Chure Bhawar Ekta Party and Nepal Pariwar Dal went to Presidential residence at Sital Niwas at the president’s invitation.
President Yadav had consulted them to understand their opinion on the issue of forming a new government. Most of them had emphasized on the leadership of Maoists in the government.
In the first address to the nation on 27 July, President Yadav, before he began broad consultations, did not give a call to Maoists for initiating the process of forming a new government.
