Scientology Purification Rundown Discolors Katie Holmes' Hands

July 21, 2008 Actress Katie Holmes has been making efforts to hide her hands when appearing in public recently. Today the reason became known: Holmes underwent Scientology Purification Rundown ritual in which one ingests dangerously high volumes of vitamins in order to cleanse the body of toxins. Katie Holmes' husband, Tom Cruise, is one of the most public and outspoken members of the church of Scientology.
The Purification Rundown requires that participants take 142 times the toxic level of the vitamin Niacin. Some of the harmful side effects of the regimen include discoloration of skin, liver damage and stomach ulcers. The practice takes a few weeks and is supposed to clean both the body and mind, according to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
In recent public appearances, Holmes has been seen wearing gloves or hiding her hands in her pockets. The picture you see here is one of the clearest examples of the odd discoloration she has experienced due to the Purification Rundown.

He had no medical knowledge, his only scientific knowledge was bad science fiction which was already known to be wrong when he wrote it and had no experience in biology or chemistry whatsoever....unless you include the expereince of "popping pinks and greys", Something Hubbard wrote about doing. This unqualified practice of medicine is exactly why Hubbard's Dianetics was going to be shut down until he made it into the pseudo-religion scientology and escaped the law crying "religious freedom!".
