Soe Tha, Minister of Trade said that paddy field spoiled by cyclone Nargis are just about 2.6% of the whole country's . So we need not to take worries about shortage of rice.

He said like this. But in real condition, price of rice raises day by day . Before Nargis, K.1000 per 'pyi' becomes K.1300  today.

Majority of our Myanmar  are not so much rich and most of us are poor. Some buy their food day by day by their daily income. They cannot affort food for even one month.

Last month, an article from juhnta's newspaper,NLM mentioned chocolate would not be needed for survival of victims but just  vegetable and small fishes from small streams and rivers  could save victims' lives.
