Bomber Kills 40, Wounds Over 70 During Pakistan Elders Gathering

Peshawar: A tribal jirga (tribal elders meeting) was in progress, at 4:30 PM a suicide bomber blew himself up at a jirga gathering in Aurakzai agency, killed 40 and injured more than 70 people.

The tribal elders were going to form a lashkar (tribal force) in a tribal meeting to check the activities of the Taliban in the area

As many as 500 people were present at the jirga.

Emergency was declared all the hospitals of Kohat and Hangu.
