ULAB rocks with Boishakhi Utsav

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has celebrated the Bengali New Year festival Pohela Boishakh 1416 through colorful Boishakhi Mela and day long cultural events at their campus in Dhanmondi on April 18, 2009.

In the very beginning the fair participated by all the twelve ULAB clubs has been formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam accompanied by Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Imran Rahman and other faculty members followed by a inaugural speech to the students.

Afterward there was cultural club participation by all the clubs by performing song, poem reciting poetry, fashion-show and stage-drama.

After the cultural show the best participants in the fair has been awarded in four different categories of Best Price, Best food, best Performance and Best of All.

In the next session underground band FEAR has officially launched their debut album ‘Oprokashito’ followed by a mind blowing concert performed by FEAR and ULAB students at ULAB auditorium.

The whole day of experiencing fun and joy of celebrating Bengali New Year was highly appreciated by all the students with the expectation of arranging such colorful event in the upcoming years.
