You have to wait to see the record broken.. - Sachin is 15 short of Lara's record.

Bangalore: No fifty, No records broken even though the match was saved by his splendid display with the bat. Even though he scored only 49 he helped the Indians to be in the game and he was more worried about the team then his record.

Aussies set a target of 299 in a minimum 83 overs and it was a survival battle then going for win. When India lost the aggressive, swashbuckling Virender shewag, cheaply and the man who can kill time, “The Wall” who was caught by a splendid catch by the Australian captain. Indians were trembling at 24-2 and it was the “LITTLE MASTER” who kept the Aussies @ bay with his meld of experience and talent to keep the Indians alive.

Tendulkar was caught in the covers by Michel Clark off the debutant spinner Cameron White when he miscued a drive which he failed to keep it low. He was just 15 runs short of the record set by West Indian legend Brian Lara which is 11953 runs in test cricket as the game’s leading run getter.

Even when he was close to the record the master batsman protested to the umpires about the bad light and walked away with displeasure after he was Cameron White first test victim. Cameron White became the seventh player in test cricket to bag Sachin Tendulkar as his first wicket and he broke into tears after he got Sachin’s Wicket.
