AKES Head terminated

CHITRAL: The general manager of Aga Khan Education Service (AKES) Chitral, Mr Zufran Shah, was removed from the post on the charge of misuse of authority and poor performance of the schools in the district, sources in the organization told Chitral Today here.
They said a high-level team of the AKES Pakistan had conducted a survey of the schools in the valley and found the standard of education being imparted to the students unsatisfactory. Besides, they also received hosts of public complaints against the poor teaching standard and misuse of resources by the top officials of the AKES.
Mr Zufran Shah was also accused of misusing the resources of the AKES, including some materials used in the construction of two higher secondary schools in the district.
The sources said Mr Zufran Shah was called to a meeting of AKES top brass and apprised of the complaints. Later, he was informed through an email that his services were no more required by the organization.
