Actor Zakes Mokae Dead

The South African black actor Zakes Mokae died September 11th at the age of 75.  I saw him in the 1985 Broadway production of Athol Fugard's "Master Harold And The Boys."  (Matthew Broderick played Master Harold)>  He was a great actor and brave man in the struggle against apartheid.  His association with Fugard was pivotal in the artistic careers of both.  He will be missed.  -30-
