Arise India launches low-priced Mobiles in J&K

  Jammu, November 29 (Scoop News) – Arise India Limited, a leader in electrical and  consumer electronics for over 25 years in India, today in Jammu,the winter capital state of Jammu and Kashmir  announced its foray into the mobile phones domain. The Company today launched 15 new handsets ranging between Rs. 990/- and Rs. 4000/-, for the Indian customers. The handsets will be marketed under the brand - ‘Arise Mobiles’.

On this occasion,  Avinash Jain, MD, Arise India Limited said, “Arise has a legacy to introduce technologically advanced innovative products at competitive price points. With our foray in the mobile handset domain, we further our commitment to the Indian consumers by offering global technology at competitive prices.”

“Jammu is a strategic market for us and it will significantly contribute to our aim of capturing 2-3% of over 33,000 crore Indian Mobile handset market in the initial year. We are planning to invest Rs. 300 crores over next 3 years on strengthening our market outreach, consolidating aftersales service centres and enhancing our innovative product line-up for the Indian consumers. Our target is to achieve Rs.1000 croreturnover by 2014 for mobile division”, said  Avinash Jain, MD, Arise India Ltd.

Arise Mobiles has introduced 15 new handsets under 4 different categories – Business handsets, Multimedia handsets, Full Touch-Screen handsets and the Everyday Functionality Handsets. 

The business handsets series comprise of two QWERTY keypad models – the A5, India’s First 4 GSM sim handset with Analog TV and the dual sim W1 with video calling capabilities, without access to 3G networks.The Full Touchscreen Arise T777 with a 3.2” display coupled with HD Video & photograph capturing and a 3D user interface re-establishes Arise Mobiles’ technology & thought leadership. The handset memory can be expanded upto 32GB and users can store and watch upto 100 movies.  

Multimedia handsets include the Super Slim T222 a touch & type music handset that has a dedicated music key on the panel and two in-built high powered super speakers to blow your mind away. We are also introducing XXXXX (name) a fully loaded multimedia phone priced at Rs.990, which will redefine the standards in the multimedia handset domain with full multimedia experience offered in the sub-1000 rupees category.

The Everyday Functionality series comprises of 10 alphanumeric handsets with individual aesthetics and design to choose from. These handsets offer numerous features needed in everyday life like torch, a recorder, in-built loudspeaker, calendar and more. Theseriesalso includes four models with bigger battery capacity for longer talk time and standby time.

Apart from the distinctive features individual to the series, features like call recording, Bluetooth 2.0, a high quality camera, audio & video player, expandable memory and a 3.5mm audio jack are a standard in the Arise Mobiles fleet. In addition, innovative features like Blacklist Call to block unwanted calls and mobile tracker, to track the handset in case it is lost, too have been included.

The company has also made a major thrust in service and the quality of service will be the best offered in this segment in India. Arise Mobiles is the first Indian brand to launch its mobile phones with a set-up of 450 service centers across the country with plans to add an additional 750 service centre by the beginning of year 2012.

Arise Mobiles has its presence all over India, with operations launched in 32 states through company’s branches and more than 140 key distributors and 3500 retail partners and dealers. The company willalso introduce high range phones including smartphones & android phones and communication tablets in 2012.
