Bodies of Six militants recovered in Sopore in North Kashmir

Srinagar, December 19 (Scoop News) – Six bodies of militants were recovered, so far, from the encounter site in Sopore.

According to SP Sopore, Imtiaz Mir, six bodies of militants have been recovered from the encounter site in Sadapora, Sopore. One of the slain militant has been identified as Athar Yousuf Dar @ Naveed son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar resident of Bismilllah Colony, Sopore.

The identity of the other militants is being ascertained. The body of the slain militant was handed over to the next of the kin for last rites.

So far, six militants have been killed in the operation that started when on a tip off, Sopore police and 22 RR launched a joint operation in wee hours yesterday at village Sadapora Sopore. The group had recently entered in Sopore from other areas of North Kashmir as LeT was depleting in Sopore

The operation is still going on.
