Bomb Simulation Training Exploded

A bomb exploded in a bomb simulation training in Bitung yesterday. The training was held by North Sulawesi Police Departement. One officer was died because of the explosion.

This training was help to prepare for Sail Bunaken, an international event that will take place in Bitung and Manado. The training scenario is to put  the bomb in a boat then deactivate it in safe place.  But when five policemen took the bomb to the boat, the bomb suddenly exploded and caused one of the officer to die and hurt the others.

Chief of North Sulawesi Police Departement said that the explosion was purely accidential and caused by a technical error.
