Children up to 10 years have to Wear Identity Cards at Sabarimala

To ensure the sanctity of the Sabarimala, additional Chief Secretary K. Jayakumar has said that children up to 10 years have to wear identity cards showing their name, address and the phone number of their wards or parents before trekking to the Sannidhanam from Pampa.

Police and Devaswom guards at Pampa would provide identity cards to all the children. The new system would help the police in tracing the wards of stranded children, a major problem at Sabarimala during rush days.
