Governor felicitates Sahitya Akademi Awardees in Dogri, Kashmiri languages
Jammu, December 21 (Scoop News) –N. N. Vohra, Governor, has congratulated Makhan Lal Kanwal and Smt. Chanchala Devi, wife of the late Bal Krishan Bhoura for the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Awards being conferred on Kanwal and Shri Bhoura for their contributions towards the enrichment of the Kashmiri and Dogri languages, respectively.
In separate communications to Kanwal and Smt. Chanchala Devi, wife of the late Bhoura, the Governor has conveyed his compliments to the eminent authors for their valuable contributions to the advancement of Kashmiri and Dogri languages. He observed that their well deserved recognition would serve as a source of inspiration for the upcoming authors, writers and poets.
The Governor has also felicitated Prof. Shashi Pathania and Abdul Ahad Hajini for being selected by the Akademi for being honoured with awards for their translations and Yash Raina and Farooq Shaheen for their selection for the Yuva Puruskars in Dogri and Kashmiri languages, respectively.
