Gundam 00 Season 2: Episode 16 and 17

I must say Gundam 00 series developed thus far to episode 15 and 16 has never failed to impressed me with the plot. The story is not only exciting but draw a very close relevance to the dark side of terrorism and war.

Ptolemy being damaged from the last battle is struggle with its repair as the stealth mode cannot be run on optimised mode. At this time, the coup by pervious Europe army, Hercules is met with by Smirov, he ex-comarade and good friend. Andrei, the son of Smirov who is currently with A-Laws has a vying hate against his father who he felt had killed his mother, Holi. This event took place 1 years ago during a military operation where it was required of Smirov to make a call whether to proceed fighting or retreat which he ended up choosing the latter that indirectly resulted in the death of Holi.

At this juncture, another orbital weapon, a space station capable of blasting a beam towards anywhere including the earth is charging its attack. The formation of the Earth Federation suits made Kujo or Sumeragi suspect that it could be an orbital attack. It later revealed that the orbital weapon, Mememto Mori indeed is going to attack. Setsuna together with Saji in OO-Rasier set off to space in the hope to destroy this weapon. The mission involves sixty thousands of lives which were evacuated from the Orbial station. These refugees were on their way down via the Orbital Elevator. The strike by OO-Rasier did destroyed Mememto Mori but the blast were still being discharged damaging the elevator.

After the elevator was hit, it began to fall and the components were falling from space heading towards Earth. Celestial Being at this time tries to protect as they were blasting the bits and debris falling from the sky. Katharon, Earth Federation and even A-Laws joined into as one to protect.

Not long after everything comes to an end as this very serious event, Andrei killed his father Smirov. It is very sad and tragic it has to end this way for Colonel Smirov. I think he is an exceptional soldier who stands on his ground and a very kind person.
