Heinz Pulls Mayonnaise Ad With Men Kissing

Condiment manufacturer Heinz withdraw an advertisement featuring two men kissing after viewers complained that it was offensive.

The Advertising Standards Authority received on more than 200 complains regarding the advertisement forcing it to withdraw. This withdrawal of the advertisement occurred with in a week of its releasing.

Viewers complained that the advertisement was “unsuitable for children”,” inappropriate to see two men kissing”.

Some also complained that they found hard to discuss same sex relationship with their children.

Gay right activists also called for boycott Heinz product.

Heinz ‘s Director for Corporate Affairs Nigel Dickie mentioned regarding the withdrawal of the ad that it is company policy to listen customers.
