How To Find a Job During the Recession
With unemployment at 8% or more in most states, finding jobs during this recession is difficult.
Step 1) Be cognisant of which fields are growing. There are two fields growing right now: EDUCATION and HEALTHCARE.
Step 2) Watch your LOCAL NEWS as much as possible. Every night the 10 oclock news has been issuing which organizations are laying people off and which ones are hiring people. If the news mentions an organization that's hiring, be the first one to go to that organization's website to sign up.
Step 3)Go to TEMP STAFFING COMPANIES. Often, the staffing companies are the first ones contacted by employers looking to hire $8-$18 hr employees. Sign up with all the major staffing companies in your geographic area.
Step 4) Be VERY PROACTIVE. There are a lot of people competing for the same job right now with layoffs coming into the thousands. You need to be one of the first to issue your application in order to get the job. I hope this helps everyone. God Bless and Good luck!
