Hurricane Ike Hero - David Griffith

Llano, TX (GroundReport) -  David Griffith, shown above, is a native of Chambers County. He is also a caterer.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, Griffith drove in to Houston with his trailer of stove and cooking pots.

He was generous enough to provide food for the city and county employees, reported The Associated Press.

Griffith has been dubbed an "everyday hero from Hurricane Ike." And there are many others like him who helped out during the devastation that followed Ike.
