Impressive show of unity by J&K Scouts & Guides held in Jammu



Jammu, February 12 (Scoop News) – It was one of the historical youth gatherings at Parade Stadium, Jammu, organized by J&K Scouts and Guides Chapter of All India Boys Scouts. Thousands of Scouts arrived from Kashmir valley and thousands of Scouts of Jammu also joined them to present well disciplined march past and colourful programme of unity.


            The Education Minister, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Forest Minister, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Minister for Revenue,  Raman Bhalla, Advisor to Chief Minister,  Mubarak Gul, Political Advisor to Chief Minister,  Davender Rana, Minister of State for Tourism,  Nasir Aslam Wani, DGP,  Kuldeep Khoda, ADG, Police,  K. Rajandra, Principal Secretary, R&B,  K. B. Aggarwal, Secretary, State Board of School Education,  Bashir Ahmad and large number of dignitaries, Scout personalities attended the inaugural mega function of campuri-2011.


            Chief Commissioner of J&K Scouts and Guides, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah welcomed all the dignitaries and presented scarf of honour to them immediately after their arrival.


            The mega campuri which has received all round participation from all sections of youth particularly Scouts associated with J&K Scouts and Guides from valley as well Jammu. 5000 Scouts wearing scout uniform with purple scarfs and white caps gave a festive look to entire stadium which was packed with scouts and guides and galaxy of dignitaries. A good number of citizens had come to witness the programme on this occasion.


            Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Mian Altaf Ahmad,  Raman Bhall,  Mubark Gul,  Devinder Singh Rana,  Nasir Aslam Wani and  Kuldeep Khoda in their speeches and messages to the Scouts appreciated the extra-ordinary arrangements made by this organization for holding a grand campuri-2011.


            They said this grand show has enhanced the image of J&K State and strengthened the ideology of unity and brotherhood. All were of the unanimous opinion that it is need of the hour that youth should come forward to erase all kinds of negative feelings and play their key role in protecting the brighter image of the unity. They said that it is for the first time that students of Kashmir and Jammu are together under the umbrella of scouting merging their minds and body movement together as if they are one mind and one thought.


            Impressed by show of unity by the participants of the campuri, Mian Altaf announced to organize such functions at Kangan, Sonamarg and other forest resorts to channelize the energy of youth in the right direction.


            Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed said that such functions need to be encouraged for the betterment of State’s youth. He said supporting such events is akin to investing in peace and development.


             Raman Bhalla assured to support the organization in making adequate arrangements for the camp. He said scouts and guides serve as peace ambassadors in their respective areas of inhabitation.


             Nasir Aslam Wani assured a Mansar trip to the participant scouts and Guides to boost their morale and refresh them by outing.


             Kuldeep Khoda announced Rs. 3 Lakh for purchasing band equipment to raise scouts band in the organization.     


            The superb march past presented by 42 contingents of scouts is such an achievement that scout history of J&K State will write it in golden letters. This unity message is required to be communicated to the entire world so that they understand that age old relationship of all religions, regions and races will exist for ever and the posterity has made its mind to demonstrate their best talent in the most positive and appreciating manner.


            They complimented the organisation particularly Khawja Farooq Renzushah for inculcating the moral spirit among scouts. They said that these camps should not be confined to capital cities only but these campuris and integration camps should be held in all districts of J&K by the organization. All respective Ministers will provide full support to them for encouraging budding generation.


            Mementoes were given to all schools on behalf of scouts organization, Nazir Ahmad Nazir, who was the parade commander commanded the entire parade. JK Scouts flag was hoisted by all the Ministers, dignitaries and Scouts together amidst thumping cheers and jubilation of the scouts.


            Prof. Parray,  Kapur,  Tarun Behl,  Retish Kapur,  Yousuf Manzal,  Gowhar Akhtar Hussain,  Mufti,  Mahajan,  Luthra and other personalities gave their presentations on behalf of scouting.


              As many as 42 schools participated in the programme. These include SRML HSS, Jammu, Akmal Public School, Srinagar, NSM HSS, Talab Tilloo, Jammu, Alma Iqbal School, Srinagar, ASN HSS, Resham Garh, Jammu, Albert Educational Institution, Srinagar, Gandhi Memorial HSS, R. S. Pura, Jammu, CASET HSS, Srinagar, Hari Singh HSS, Jammu, Chinar Valley School, Srinagar, Tiny Tots HSS, Sainik Colony, Jammu, Canny Mission School, Srinagar, Luthra Public School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, GGHSS Rehari, Jammu,  Children’s Paradise School, Srinagar, New Modern College of Education, HSS, Jammu, Children’s Welfare School, Srinagar, ASN HSS Channi Himmat, Jammu, Four Friends School Srinagar, Spring Dales HSS, Krishan Nagar, Jammu, Green Field High School, Budgam, Luthra Public School, Bohri, Jammu, Greenway Public School, Ganderbal, High Land High School, Srinagar, Islamia Mission School, Srinagar, Iqra Educational Institution, Srinagar, Kohsar Public School, Srinagar, Koh-i-Marwah Public School, Srinagar, Mars Public School, Srinagar, New Bonvivent School, Srinagar, New Green Land Secondary School, Bandipora, New Wave School, Srinagar, Paramount School, Srinagar, Prime Public School, Srinagar, Gulistant Atfal, Srinagar, Snow Sun Public School, Srinagar, Vibgyor Educational Institution, Srinagar, Wisdom Public School, Srinagar, SSM Higher Secondary School, Srinagar, Trikuta College of Education, Jammu, GGHSS, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu and Rajesh Memorial School, Bishnah, Jammu.

Higher Secondary School, DPS School, Luthra HSS, Jammu, Tagore Memorial School, Adarsh Shiksha Niketan, Spring Dales HSS, Krishna Nagar, Jammu and Trikuta College of Education presented a superb cultural programme in which thousands of scouts and guides presented a joint show.
