JK Governor, CM greet people on Mahanavami, Dussehra

Srinagar, October 4 (Scoop News) -   J&K Governor and Chief Minister  have felicitated the people on the festivals of Mahanavami and Dussehra.   

In his message of greetings, the Governor N. N. Vohra, said that these festivals symbolize the triumph of virtue and righteousness over evil and darkness.

The Governor observed that these festivals are a glorious heritage of our pluralistic traditions, which further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity. He prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the State.

     Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has greeted the people on Mahanavami and Dussehra wishing them well-being and prosperity.

            In a greetings message issued here today the Chief Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir has a rich tradition of celebrating festivals and holy occasions in amity and secular temperament.

            Omar Abdullah said that this trait of the State adds colour to the festivity and universalizes the joy and happiness. He expressed the hope that this tradition would get strong and strong with the passage of time.

            The Chief Minister wished for peace and all round development of the State and the Country.
