JK girl students tour to enhance awareness & national integration
Jammu, October 10 (Scoop News) – In pursuance of the objectives of Sadbhavana an educational tour for the girl students was flagged off today by Maj Gen K H Singh,GOC 25 Infantry Division from the Advance Landing Ground Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir. In first of its kind, the tour, comprising of 24 girl students, two teacher and two Janitorial Staff from various schools of Rajouri and Poonch sector, organised by Ace of Spade Division, would visit Pune, Mumbai and Goa.
The Educational Tour aims to provide exposure to the girl students of remote areas of Rajouri and Punch Sector to the rich cultural heritage of India as well as spread the message of peace and harmony. The tour also aims to enhance the knowledge and give a glimpse of modern India to these girl students as also provide them with an opportunity to interact with people of different cultures. Aptly named as “SADBHAVANA”, the girl students for the educational tour have been selected from different communities and strata of the society.
The educational tour would return on October 22 after visiting prominent places in Pune, Mumbai and Goa.
