Jama’at-e-Islami demands judicial probe into the deaths of Infants



Srinagar, May 22 (Scoop News) –Expressing grave concern over the unabated death of infants in the G.B Panth Hospital, Srinagar, Jama’at-e-Islami J&K demands a high level impartial judicial probe of this human tragedy. Supply of spurious and sub standard drugs and medication at the behest of some unknown senior functionary of the hospital and poor sanitation are said to be the main reasons for this tragedy. The name of this scandalous functionary must be disclosed before the public as he is involved in a most heinous crime which in no case is pardonable. A case of murder should be registered against this killer-doctor and those who supported him in this deadly inhuman and anti-human act for collection of money in illegal ways.


 


Advocate Zahid Ali,Spokesperson,Jama’at-e-Islami J&K in a statement said that


it is commonly felt that throughout the Kashmir valley, a good number of medicos are deeply involved in the menace and are playing with the lives of the people for their nefarious designs of becoming wealthy. A high level inquiry commission consisting of


integral personalities should be formed to go deep into this shameful organized mafia-type crime and bring those involved in it to book without any regard to their status or influence.


Statement said that this is a crime against the humanity and indifferent and callous attitude of the administration towards it is most condemnable. Jama’at-e-Islami appeals all the Islamic scholars and intelligentia to fight this menace united and create general awareness amongst the common masses about the remedies available against such a gang of criminals.


 


 


Meanwhile Former minister and AICC member Abdul Gani Vakil demanded the judicial probe in to the deaths of infants in G B Pant hospital by a sitting judge of the high court.


 


Senior Congress leader asked the government to look into the details of deaths of hundreds of infants in G B Pant hospital and take remedial measures.There was a need of investigating the cause of death than hiring and firing the employees.


 


Vakil was addressing a workers meeting of Congress Seva Dal. Speaking on the occasion Vakil said that augmentation of hospital staff was one thing which was needed but the government must investigate the exact cause of deaths so that that particular grey area could be removed for the survival of children. He demanded the judicial probe in to the deaths of infants by a sitting judge of the high court.
