Kevin '07 and Howard the . . .

Now that we have had a thorough year to see the differences between the two, it is time to compare Kevin Rudd to John Howard.

John Howard's most memorable moments, in his time as Australia's Prime Minister, were the ones where he was made fun of.

Looking back, he was quite a power-walker, remember that nineties trend that some people still commit to, as he attempted to set a good example to Australians.

Consequently, as he persued his daily morning walk, he was bugged numerously by the Chaser team on the ABC.

And Kevin Rudd is basically the nerdy PM, as he tries to be cool and fit in with Generation Y with his own myspace and facebook pages.

Ultimately, his campaign will be remembered so well, as he drummed the "working class families" idea into our squishy brains (and still does).

Not basing things on looks, either, but Howard's bushy eyebrows, googly glasses and ear hair must have had some impact on his popularity.

His downfall in popularity was WorkChoices, the children overboard and the Mohamed Haneef accusation, which has just been officially cleared.

The way Howard spoke, it sounded like an unclear 'mish-mash' as well.

Howard celebrated Australia well, even trying to fit in by playing cricket with the troops so well documented by news outlets.

Nerdy Rudd is like a robotic Rudd, maybe aliens control him, too.

He gave Test Cricket commentary a go the last week, amusingly.

Ultimately, Kevin Rudd seems to be the cooler PM for Australia as he appeals to younger generations (something I don't recall Howard paying much attention to).

Let's see him do justice.

And I don't mean to poke fun at politicians, easy as it is, but at least it's entertaining and gives us a chuckle.
