At last Gangully played a captain’s knock of 86 runs of 53 deliveries in the match against Kings XI Punjab yesterday in Eden Garden Kolkata with 2 balls remaining Ganguly placed the first 3 balls of Pathan’s over out of the ground for a 6/2&6.
In answer to Kings XI's cutthroat score of 174 for 6, Riders reached their winning target of 175 losing seven wickets in 19.4 overs in a nerve-racking end ahead of a crowd of 30,000 at the Eden Gardens. Umar Gul was awarded Man of the Match for his (24; 11 balls, 1x4, 3x6). Gul played surprisingly well when Kolkata was just on the verge of yet another defeat.
