Knowing If You Have Sinned Against God's Holy Spirit
MARK: 3: 28-29: "Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons men and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation."
LUKE: 12:10: "And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: But, unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven."
These are strict admonishments from Jesus and as we see such deliberate acts are punishable by Jesus not forgiving them.
This would mean that one's salvation is revoked, or denied, and one would face eternal damnation, eternal separation from God, just like the story of "The rich man and Lazarus".
Many of my readers, as well as many brothers and sisters in Christ, that I chat with, have asked me. How can I know if I have sinned against God's Holy Spirit?
I decided to seek the authority on this topic, the Holy Spirit and search the truth, and this is what Holy Spirit revealed to my heart and mind.
Most importantly, to sin against God's Holy Spirit, one cannot ever do this by mistake. It is not possible, to accidently, without any knowledge make a mistake and sin against God's Holy Spirit. Can't be done!
One must first have fore-knowledge of God, and then freely choose, to deny God, inorder to commit such a sin.
Six ways have been revealed to me to sin against the Holy Spirit.
By despair we cease to believe or hope for our personal salvation from Jesus through our penetance and Jesus power to forgive our sins. Despair is contrary to God's goodness, his justice and our faith in His mercy.
2. Presumption of God's Mercy
Either we presume upon our capacity to be able to save ourselves, through good deeds or we presume upon God's power or mercy believing that mercy will simply be given without repentance.
3. Watering down God's Truth
Weakening God's truth making all Christian Truth subjective, claiming there is no objective truth, attacking God's Holy Word by word or argument, to resist God's word or contradict it to oppose it or challenge it as being false.
4. Envy the spiritual goodness of another
This is in regards to the "Gifts of the Spirit, in accordance with ( l CORINTHIANS) from Paul wherby Paul tells us that we receive all gifts but it is up to God through his Holy Spirit which gifts are activated in a person and which ones are not. To be in envy of someone's activated gifts is wrongful and a sin. God divinely decides which gafts become activated or not. Through envy we lessen and reject our own gifts.
5. Obstinacy in sin
To be obstinate means to resist the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit to stubbornly deny or refuse the Holy Spirit's guidance and help to be unyeilding.
Means to be hardened and unrepentant for one's sins to be without remorse or guilt for one's wrong doings.
One 7th. way is through turning to "Satanic Worship". This by itself can damn ones spirit, but even worse is if one who is a christian a believer in Christ suddenly makes a 180 degree turn becoming a satanic worshipper.
As I stated in my opening, one must consciously, deliberately "Choose" to live their lives according to one or all of these six sinful actions in order to be seen as having sinned against the Holy Spirit. One must have knowledge about not just the sin but must deliberately choose to act in violation of such sins.
This is totally contrary to the judicial laws of man. Our courts teach that: "Ignorance of the law is no excuse." God says you must know that you are deliberately refusing to adhere to God's rules before you can be seen as guilty.
