Minister invites business tycoons to invest in J&K
Jammu, November 22 (News Desk//Scoop News) –Maintaining that improving situation has thrown open ample opportunities for entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir, the Minister for Industries and Commerce, S. S. Slathia today called upon the business tycoons of the country to come forward and invest in the state adding that it would be a great contribution in reconstruction of infrastructure in turmoil ravaged state.
Speaking to a gathering after inaugurating a private sector Jewelry showroom at Vijaypur this morning, Slathia said that the J&K is fast on the path of peace and development and is as safe for investment as other states of the country. He said that the government was providing most attractive industrial package to the investors under both central and state industrial policies which are likely to be extended for another two years beyond 2012, the scheduled date for its expiry. He asked the educated youth and entrepreneurs to take full benefits of the available industrial incentives and venture in the industrial sector for earning a dignified livelihood. “This way youth can become job providers rather than job seekers”, Slathia added.
The Minister said that government was endeavouring hard to create job opportunities for the youth in public sector but keeping in view the burgeoning number of 7 lakh educated un-employed youth, registered with various employment and counseling centers of the state, it was imperative to promote self employment programmes adding that SKEWPY is the best ever employment policy ever launched in the state. He asked the people to encourage their wards to get themselves benefitted by the new job policy.
