Nepali prime minister to visit Norway and Finland from 29 March

Chairman of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal Maoist (UCPNM) and coalition Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is scheduled to visit Norway and Finland from 29 March to 4 April, sources in Kathmandu say.

During his visit, Prachanda is expected to seek financial investment in Nepal’s big hydel projects.

While in Norway, he is also scheduled to observe a few hydropower projects in Norway.

According to reports, Prachanda will have bilateral talks with his Norwegian and Finnish counterparts.

The Maoist-led coalition government has set a target of producing 10,000MW of electricity within the next 10 years.
