April 02, 2009 For rocket launch between April 4 - 8 North Korea’s preparations are final level. North Korea said it will launch a communication satellite into space orbit using a long-range Taepodong-2 missile.
On Thursday the U.S. defense official said "They're doing everything consistent with the launch of a space vehicle on April 4."
South Korean official said “North Korea in the final stages of launch preparations."
On Thursday Yukio Takasu the Japan's U.N. ambassador said Japan would request an emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss a possible response if North Korea launched the missile.
