Omar pray for peace & prosperity for J&K at Maqdoom Sahab

Srinagar, February 22 (Scoop News) – Chief Minister,. Omar Abdullah along-with his wife Payal Abdullah and two sons Zamin Abdullah and Zahir Abdullah paid obeisance at holy Dargah Sharief of Hazrat Makhdoom Ashraf Jehangir Simnani at Dargah Rusulpur Ambedkar Nagar Faizabad (UP).

            The Dargah Sharief is a shrine of revered Sufi saint, who was the king of Samnan. The great saint abandoned the worldly life and dedicated himself to inculcate spirit of humanity and brotherhood among the people.

            Thousands of devotees visit this holy place every day to seek the blessing of the great Sufi saint.

The Chief Minister  offered his obeisance at Dargah Sharief and prayed for peace, tranquility and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

             Omar was accorded a rousing and warm reception by the local people, who were standing on both sides of 4- km road stretch from Akbarpur Jamia Bibi Sultan on way to Faizabad.

            He was later on given civic reception at B B Khatoon School in which prominent citizens, respectables of the area and people for different communities and religions participated.

            While talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that he has come to pay obeisance at the holy dargah and pray for peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. He was accompanied by his Political Advisor Devindar Singh Rana.
