Pak has changed its proxy war strategy: Dr. Nirmal

Jammu, August 07 (Scoop News) - After using sea route to push armed terrorists in India, Pakistan has now changed its proxy war strategy and making successful attempts to sneak through underground channels. This was alleged by BJP National Executive Member & former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh while addressing media persons at party headquarters along with BJP MLA from border constituency of Suchetgarh Sham Choudhay.

Dr. Nirmal Singh, who conducted the survey of village Chachwal (Hiranagar), alongwith party leaders Kashmira Singh, Subash Bhagat, Kaka Singh, Omkar Padha, Raj Singh, Sudesh Kumar Sethu, Adarsh Verma, Tarsem Singh, Jangbir Singh Cheeku and Sunil Singh, where a tunnel was found dugged from across the international border deep into Indian territory, said that it is an open aggression on India’s sovereignty.

Dr. Nirmal Singh said that neither the Union Government nor State’s coalition or any agency have shown any seriousness to find out the tunnel’s exit and how far the terrorists succeeded in using this channel to infiltrate to this side of the border and smuggle arms and ammunition. The people are scared but nothing has been done to assure them of their security. Nobody from the State and the Central Governments have find time to even visit the spot where all time high breach of national security has taken place. How much serious the Central Government has been towards the security on the nation can be well judged from the fact that our Defence Minister was on 2-day visit of LoC during those days but did not deem it necessary to even pay visit at Chachwal.The very fact of tunnel being found is indicative of total intelligence failure and raises serious doubts about the security apparatus on our borders.

Dr. Singh further said that it also shows that Pakistan want to de-stabilize India under its changed strategy. The revelation of tunnel has put all those like Omar Abdullah, the CM, who are so vociferous in their demand to withdraw Armed Forces Special Powers Act or Removal of Armed Forces, and support the idea of porous borders and tweet on all funny things, to shame. The area where tunnel is found, the security forces have totally stopped the farming activities of the farmers. This is about 50 acres of land and the helpless farmers are deprived of their livelihood.

Declaring to raise the issue in parliament by the party, Dr. Nirmal Singh demanded that :

A High Level Defence Expert Committee may be constituted to find the loop holes in country’s traditional defence system on whole of Indian borders with neighboring countries. It has become all the more important in view of the changed strategy of our enemy to intrude and cause destruction to our national security.

The Committee should also find out the lapse in the security and fix the responsibility.

The Government must initiate developmental programmes for the border area people who are suffering due to the lack of basic amenities like water and electricity.

The Government must stop diverting funds of Border Development Fund to the other agencies and programmes.

Compensation to the tune of rupees fifty thousand per acre must be immediately released in favour of those farmers whose crops have been damaged or who have been ordered by the security forces not to do any agricultural activity, including irrigation of their fields.

The person who informed about the tunnel must be suitably rewarded and given a job in the Government.
