Pakistanis express concerns over the increase of petroleum prices in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan: Pakistanis expressed concerns over the increase of petroleum prices in the country.

The Pakistani government has increased the prices of petroleum and it is implemented it from today.

Yesterday the gas stations in the major cities like Karachi and Lahore had stopped selling the gasoline and diesel and stored it to sell it on higher prices next day.

As a matter of fact, the petroleum prices indirectly affect the prices of other commodities and the country is facing already the grave problems like terrorism that has also brought havoc on the Pakistani economy.

The transporters, trade unions and civil society may show they anger in shape of strikes in the coming days.

The transporters and civil society has demanded the chief justice of Supreme Court, Chaudhary Iftikhar to take into notice the cruel decision of the elected government.

The petroleum prices in the international market fell considerably since last year but the elected government could not transfer the benefits to the masses and it couldn’t give them the relief.
