Police repression in Lisbon
In 25th april police brutally restrained a 500 people demonstration that claimed against fascism, capitalism and authority. 25th april is the revolution day in Portugal. In 25th april 1974 the 48 years fascist regimen was defeated by a national revolution that restored democracy, freedom of speech and demonstration and consecrate fundamental social and political rights.
In 2007 commemorations a group of 500 people decided to make an alternative demonstration with a more radical content. Altough it was a peacfull demonstration, police brutally charged and imprisioned several demonstrators.
