Reliance Retail’s Vision Express Launches 103rd Store In Bangalore
Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Industries Limited (RIL); along with its partner GrandVision B.V. celebrated the launch of their 103rd ‘Vision Express’ store in the buzzing city of Bangalore. A budding enterprise in the optical wear industry, the new Vision Express store has been set up at MG Road, near Barton Centre, Bangalore. The store was inaugurated by Bijou Kurien, President & Chief Executive Lifestyle, Reliance Retail Ltd. The launch of their 103rd store reaffirms Vision Express as one of the fastest growing optical chains in the country.
At the launch of their 103rd Vision Express store, Bijou Kurien, President & Chief Executive Lifestyle, Reliance Retail Ltd., said, “It’s a proud moment for all of us today. Vision Express has been providing shoppers across India with high quality eyewear products and services at lowest prices”.
Vision Express is a joint venture between Reliance Retail and Dutch enterprise Pearle Europe, with a vision of offering the benefits of trust, affordability, quality, international designs and proven optical skills. The joint venture between Reliance Retail and Pearle Europe was signed on December of 2008. Currently, the Indian eyewear market is estimated to be around $ 900 million where organized retailers have fairly marginal share. With at least 30% of Indians in need of eyewear each year, there is a huge potential to exploit the market for retaining a sustainable establishment. Vision Express has already established a strong presence in the market and hopes to expand furthermore in the coming years.
