Sachin & Gilly fined $ 20,000 US each in IPL-2

Mumbai Indians had another shocker after losing yesterday’s match against Deccan Chargers, when their captain Sachin Tendulkar was fined US$20000 for slow over rate in their match against the Deccan Chargers.

Deccan Chargers too who were quite upbeat after their win over the Mumbai Indians were also handed over the same shock treatment after their captain Adam Gilchrist was also handed over US$20000 fine for their slow over rate against their losing team Mumbai Indians.

A decision to this effect was actually taken by the match referee after consultation from the IPL authorities; who decided to penalize both the captains for the slow over rate in the match.

2 days earlier on the 23^rd of April, Delhi Daredevils were also handed over a penalty for slow over rate in their match against Chennai Super Kings at the same venue.
